Altra Industrial Motion Acquires Guardian Industries
08/01/2014 - Altra Industrial Motion Corp., a global manufacturer and marketer of electromechanical power transmission and motion control products, announced the acquisition of Guardian Industries Inc.
Founded in 1941 and based in Michigan City, Ind., Guardian manufactures a wide range of products including shaft couplings, motion control couplings, flywheel couplings, hydraulic pump drives, compressor drives and PTO shafts and bearing supports. The company has a dedicated workforce of 47 people and had 2013 revenues of US$10 million.
