Allegheny Technologies Elects New Director

Allegheny Technologies Inc. announced the election of J. Brett Harvey to the company’s Board of Directors.
 
Harvey, 57, is President and CEO of Consol Energy Inc., a high-Btu bituminous coal and coal bed methane company. His election increases ATI’s number of directors to eleven.
 
“We are very pleased that Brett Harvey has joined our Board,” said Pat Hassey, Chairman, President and CEO of Allegheny Technologies. “His extensive business experience and perspective should prove valuable to the Company and the Board.”
 
Harvey has been President and CEO of Consol Energy Inc. since 1998. He previously served as President and CEO of PacifiCorp Energy Inc., as well as several other management positions at PacifiCorp, including President and CEO of Interwest Mining Co. Harvey is also a current director of Consol Energy Inc., CNX Gas Corp., and Barrick Gold Corp.
 
Harvey has been appointed to the Nominating and Governance Committee, and will stand for election at the 2008 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
