ATI Allegheny Ludlum announced that it will add a surcharge of $160 per ton ($8.00/cwt) to invoices for silicon electrical steel. The increase takes effect with shipments beginning Thursday, Sep. 1.

The surcharge is subject to monthly adjustments based on changes in raw material costs.
