ATI Allegheny Ludlum announced it is revising pricing for light gauge size extras and the grade base for type 403. The price increases are effective with shipments September 27, 2004.
The 3/16- and ¼-inch size extras are being increased by $0.10 per pound for all stainless steel plate mill plate grades. The net impact of this change varies by grade and gauge but the approximate effect is a net 5% to 6% increase on the 304, 304L and 316L grades.
The grade base for type 403 is being increased to $2.45 cents per pound.
The company notes that the increases are necessary to help offset rising manufacturing costs and for capital investments and growth. All surcharges will remain in effect.
