ALJ Reports Third Quarter Revenues

ALJ, the parent company of Kentucky Electric Steel, reported revenues of $51.1 million for the quarter, and revenues of $133.4 million for the nine months ended June 30, 2008.
 
The $51.1-million third quarter revenue compares to revenues of $37.5 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007. The $133.4-million revenues for the first nine months compares to revenues of $111.3 million for the nine months ended June 30, 2007.
 
In a separate development, the company also announced that ALJ Chief Financial Officer, Don Reisenberg, had elected to resign but remain on the Board of Directors. He has been replaced by Rob Christ.
 
ALJ is the parent company of KES Acquisition Co., which does business as Kentucky Electric Steel, the owner and operator of a steel minimill near Ashland, Ky., producing both merchant bar quality flats (MBQ Bar Flats), and special bar quality steel flats (SBQ Bar Flats).
