Algoma Chief Commercial Officer to Retire in 2022; New Vice President Sales Named
10/27/2021 - Canadian steelmaker Algoma announced today that its chief commercial officer, Robert Dionisi, will retire next May after a 42-year career with the company.
Dionisi joined Algoma in 1979 and throughout his career worked in a variety of management roles, including as general manager of plate and shape product sales, general manager of service center and fabrication sales and marketing, and vice president of steel sales for the Americas.
“Rob has exemplified Algoma’s trademark mantra, ‘Your Partner in Steel,’ building strong and lasting relationships with customers across a multitude of markets and geographies,” said Algoma chief executive Michael McQuade. “His passion for quality service has been internalized by our entire commercial team and we extend our sincere gratitude to Rob for his leadership and long service.”
Algoma has tapped Rory Brandow, currently director of regional sales, to take over for Dionisi as vice president of sales.
