Alberto Iperti Appointed CEO of Tamini

With the appointment of Alberto Iperti, Tamini is becoming even stronger in the industrial and mining sector, thus confirming its leadership in the market for arc furnaces used for steel, aluminum and ferrous alloy production.
 
Luciano Tamini has been confirmed as president, preserving the continuity that for a century has distinguished the company in this highly specialized sector. Pierpaolo Cristofori, Terna's CFO, will remain on Tamini's Board of Director's, where he held the office of CEO until Iperti was appointed.
 
Alberto Iperti, 51, graduated from the Milan Polytechnic with a degree in electronic engineering and holds an MBA from the SDA Bocconi. His professional career has focused in management consulting, in the steel and oil & gas industries. After working for several years for A.T. Kearney, mostly in the automotive sector, in 2000 he joined Tenaris, world leader in the manufacturing of steel tubes and services for the oil & gas industry. It was while working for the Tenaris Group that Iperti consolidated an expertise acknowledged in this sector at world level. In particular in Argentina and in Canada, where he was Procurement Director of Exiros, as well as Global Planning Director and Managing Director of Tenaris Canada. Lastly, before joining Tamini, from 2012 he was CEO of Tenova, one of the world leaders in the plantmaking sector in the iron and steel and mining industries.
