In an announcement, the company said Cheney will resume his former duties with Bedrock Industries on 21 February, and Kestenbaum will take on the day-to-day duties he relinquished last winter. 

"I am excited to be returning soon to the CEO role to continue leading the company through its next phase of growth,” he said. 
Kestenbaum said Cheney has been a valued member of Stelco’s leadership team. 

"The board of directors join me in thanking David for his contributions and leadership, and we wish him well in his return to his previous role at Bedrock," Kestenbaum said. 

Bedrock bought Stelco in 2017 and took the company public. Cheney, an investment banker, had been with Bedrock since its formation in 2015.
