AK Steel to Increase Prices for Carbon Steel Products
12/13/2007 - AK Steel will increase spot market prices by $30 per ton for carbon steel product orders accepted for shipment on February 1, 2008 and later.
AK Steel announced that it will increase spot market prices by $30 per ton for its carbon steel products. The increase will take effect for all new orders accepted for shipment on February 1, 2008 and later.
AK Steel said that it is making the price increase in response to increased demand for carbon steel products, as well as the need to recover higher costs for steelmaking inputs.
AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
