AK Steel Earns Supplier Award from Big Three Automaker
04/24/2018 - General Motors Co. has recognized AK Steel Corp. as one of its 2017 suppliers of the year, the company said on Tuesday.
“It is a testimony to our innovative steel products and the outstanding product quality, delivery, service and support which our team provides to General Motors each and every day,” said AK Steel chief executive Roger Newport said in a statement.
The award recognizes GM suppliers who meet performance metrics for quality, execution, innovation and total enterprise cost.
This year, the automaker recognized 125 suppliers from 17 countries during a ceremony in Orlando, Fla., USA.
