AK Steel Announces Surcharges for April 2007

March 7, 2007 — AK Steel announced it will add a $230 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in April 2007.

The company has posted its April 2007 surcharges on the AK Steel website.

AK Steel notes that it bases its surcharges on reported prices for the raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the February purchase costs used to determine the April 2007 surcharges.


Headquartered in Middletown, Ohio, AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
