Oct. 5, 2006 — AK Steel will add a $190 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in November 2006.

The company has posted its November 2006 surcharges on the company's website.

AK Steel noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for the raw materials and energy that are used to manufacture the products. September 2006 purchase costs were used to determine the November 2006 surcharges.

Headquartered in Middletown, Ohio, AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
