AK Steel will add a $154 per ton surcharge to invoices for flat rolled carbon steel products shipped in October 2005. A $90 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in the same period.

AK Steel bases its surcharges on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products. August 2005 purchase costs were used to determine the October 2005 surcharges.
