AK Steel has advised its flat-rolled carbon steel customers that a $149 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for products shipped in November, a decrease of $8 from October's surcharge of $157 per ton. The company also advised its electrical steel customers that a $250 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in November, down $45 from the October surcharge of $295 per ton for those products.

Surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the September purchase cost used to determine the November surcharges.
