AK Steel has announced it will add a $350 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in November 2010.
The company noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products. September 2010 purchase costs were used to determine the November 2010 surcharges.

AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steels, primarily for automotive, appliance, construction and electrical power generation and distribution markets.
