AK Steel announced it will add a $55 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in May 2009.
AK Steel's surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products. March 2009 purchase costs were used to determine the May 2009 surcharges.
