AK Steel Announces March 2010 Surcharges

02/02/2010 - AK Steel will add a $325 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in March 2010.

AK Steel has announced that it will add a $325 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in March 2010.  
 
The company noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for the raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products. January 2010 purchase costs were used to determine the March 2010 surcharges.

AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steels, primarily for automotive, appliance, construction and electrical power generation and distribution markets.
