AK Steel has announced that it will add a $235 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in February 2010.
The company noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for the raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products. December 2009 purchase costs were used to determine the February 2010 surcharges.
