AK Steel Announces February 2008 Surcharges
01/07/2008 - AK Steel will add a $265/ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in February 2008.
AK Steel has advised its customers it will add a $265/ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in February 2008.
The company noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with December 2007 purchase cost used to determine the February 2008 surcharges.

AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
