AK Steel Announces August 2009 Surcharges
07/02/2009 - AK Steel will add a $75 per ton surcharge for electrical steel products shipped in August 2009.
AK Steel announced that it will add a $75 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in August 2009.
The company noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for the raw materials and energy it uses to manufacture the products. June 2009 purchase costs were used to determine the August 2009 surcharges.

AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steels, primarily for automotive, appliance, construction and electrical power generation and distribution markets.
