AIST Announces Expansion of Global Headquarters
09/30/2016 - The Association for Iron & Steel Technology is acquiring full ownership of its shared headquarters, a move that will accomodtae fututre growth of the association, the association has announced.
Under a deal with sister organization The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society, AIST has bought the portion of the headquarters that had been occupied by the society. AIST and the society have shared the building since its construction in 1999.
The sale gives AIST an additional 8,000 square feet of office space, enough to accomodate up to 30 new employees.
“We are fortunate to be in a strong position to acquire the much-needed real estate to accommodate our steady growth,” said AIST executive director Ronald E. Ashburn in a statement.
