AISI Welcomes Three New Member Companies
02/13/2025 - Three North American companies have joined the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) as members, the company announced today.
Ryerson and Zekelman Industries, both based in Chicago, Ill., along with Olympic Steel from Cleveland, Ohio, USA, have joined AISI as member companies.
“The collaboration with these three companies will enhance AISI’s already significant engagement with members of Congress and the administration,” said AISI president and chief executive officer Kevin Dempsey. “We look forward to working together with these industry leaders to continue our strong advocacy on behalf of the domestic steel industry.”
“These three companies have been strong allies on steel industry policy issues,” said Lourenco Goncalves, AISI board chairman and chairman, president and chief executive officer of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc.
“We look forward to working closely with Ryerson, Zekelman and Olympic Steel to further amplify the voice of our industry in combatting unfair foreign practices and other areas that present ongoing threats to the competitiveness of the American steel industry,” he added.
