Two JSW Steel Blast Furnaces Returned to Service
02/22/2016 - India’s JSW Steel has re-commissioned two idled blast furnaces and is preparing to relight a third, according to reports.
According to the Business Standard newspaper, the company said the recommissioned blast furnaces, one each at its Vijayanagar and Salem works, were shut down in August and November 2015 for relining and for modifications.
Re-commissioning of the third furnace at its Dolvi works is in an advanced stage and “is expected to be operational shortly,” the newspaper said.
