Tube City IMS Opens Trading Office in Taiwan

Tube City IMS, LLC has opened its first representative trading office in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

“We continue to expand our global footprint and believe the outsourced steel services market in Taiwan will continue to grow over the coming years,” said J. David Aronson, President and Chief Operating Officer, Raw Material and Optimization Group. “The opening of this office complements our offices in Beijing, China, Jakarta, Indonesia, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and our operating subsidiary in Singapore, and provides the company with an excellent platform to grow our presence and serve our customers in the region.”

Aronson noted that Taiwan is becoming an increasingly important market in the Asia-Pacific region.

The newly-opened Taiwan office will be led by Kenny Hung, who will serve as Chief Representative. Prior to joining the company, Hung worked at a large Asian trading company specializing in steel products. He holds a bachelor's degree in international business from Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan.

"Kenny is an experienced trader and we are pleased to welcome him to the team," said Aronson. "Kenny will report directly to Hideyuki "Nishi" Nishizawa, Managing Director of Asia, who is responsible for developing, managing and expanding the company's Asian trading operations from the Singapore trading office."
