Tube City IMS Names New President and CEO
08/17/2009 - Tube City IMS announces the appointment of Joseph Curtin as President and CEO of Tube City IMS Corp. and its operating subsidiary Tube City IMS, LLC.
The Board of Directors of Tube City IMS, LLC announced the appointment of Joseph Curtin as President and CEO of Tube City IMS Corp. and its operating subsidiary Tube City IMS, LLC. He also joins Tube City IMS' Board of Directors.
"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am delighted to announce that Joe Curtin will lead the Company going forward," said board member and Onex Managing Director Timothy Duncanson. "We believe the Company has the best management team in the industry and look forward to working with Joe to further grow the business."
Curtin, 63, has been with Tube City IMS for 26 years, most recently serving as the Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of the Raw Material and Optimization Group. He joined the company in 1983, and has been active in the steel industry since 1977. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1968 and a master's degree in business administration from Duquesne University in 1977.
