Tube City IMS Ecorse Facility Recertified to ISO 9001:2000
05/09/2008 - The Tube City IMS facility in Ecorse, Mich., retains its ISO 9001:2000 quality system certification after passing its quality system surveillance audit.
Tube City IMS, LLC announced that its Tube City Division facility in Ecorse, Mich., has retained its ISO 9001:2000 quality system certification after passing an extensive quality system surveillance audit.
ISO 9001:2000 is process-based certification that recognizes an organization's ability to incorporate business objectives with operating effectiveness. Companies that achieve Quality Management System certification to ISO 9001:2000 have demonstrated effective implementation of documentation and records management, top management's commitment to their customers, establishment of clear policy, good planning and implementation, good resource management, efficient process control, measurement and analysis of key performance factors and institutionalized continual improvement.
Tube City IMS’s Ecorse facility has been ISO certified since May 2002.
