Tube City IMS Canada Announces Two Management Appointments
02/21/2008 - Tube City IMS Canada announces the appointment of an Account Executive and a District Manager of Scrap Operations for its Ontario, Canada, operations.
Tube City IMS Canada Limited announced the appointment of two managers for its Ontario, Canada, operations.
The company named Kris Bonitatibus Account Executive—Ontario Division, and Michael Flaherty has joined the company as District Manager—Scrap Management. Both will work at the company's Hamilton, Ont., operations.
In his new position, Bonitatibus will be responsible for strategic planning, procurement, and business development as the company starts up its first Canadian commercial office, said J. David Aronson, Executive Vice President—Outsource Purchasing.
"We are delighted to have Kris joining the team. He will report directly to John Keyes, Vice President—Pittsburgh District, who will oversee the development of the Ontario district," said Aronson.
Bonitatibus joins the company following six years of employment at ArcelorMittal Dofasco in Hamilton, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, including his most recent position as Strategic Sourcing Analyst in the Purchasing Department. He also worked at Celestica International in Toronto as Supply Chain Analyst in the Supply Chain Department.
Bonitatibus holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from Ryerson University in Toronto and a metallurgy of iron and steel certificate from McMaster University, Hamilton.
In his new position, Flaherty will be responsible for overseeing the company's scrap operations in Hamilton, said Perry Van Rosendale, Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development. Flaherty joins the company following more than 35 years at ArcelorMittal Dofasco in Hamilton, where he most recently served as Supervisor of the Scrap Department.
