Tube City IMS Announces Promotions
02/20/2008 - Tube City IMS announces the appointment of a new Vice President of North American Sales and Business Development, as well as the promotion of several of its managers.
Tube City IMS has appointed Hank Wilson to the new position of Vice President—North American Sales and Business Development.
In his new position, Wilson will be responsible for coordinating the sales of scrap substitutes throughout North America, said J. David Aronson, Executive Vice President—Outsource Purchasing, Tube City IMS. Wilson will also oversee the company’s scrap marketing efforts in the Midwest, South and Western United States. He will work in the company's offices in the Birmingham, Ala., area.
Wilson, who has more than 25 years of experience in the scrap, iron and steel industry, most recently served as Vice President—Southern Region at the company's Fairfield, Ala., operation.
"Hank has been with the company for many years and his extensive experience in our industry will serve him well in his new role in capitalizing on new business opportunities," Mr. Aronson said.
Prior to joining the company in 1998, Wilson worked at Steiner-Liff Industries in Birmingham as President of its Shredders Inc., Division. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from Miami University of Ohio in Oxford, Ohio.
Tube City IMS also announced the promotion of William Miller to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of International Operations, IMS Division, Tube City IMS; and the promotion of Fermin Maldonado to the position of Vice President of Operations, IMS Division, Tube City IMS.
In his new position, Miller will be based at the company's Horsham, Pa., office. He has been with the company since 1979, when he started as an Operations Supervisor. He subsequently held various positions of increasing responsibility in the Operations and Marketing departments at the company's operations in Ohio, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Horsham. He holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and a master's degree in business administration from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
In his new position, Maldonado will be based at the company's Cleburne, Texas, office. He joined the company in 1975 as an Operator at the company's Midlothian, Texas, site. He held several subsequent positions of increasing responsibility in the company's Operations Department before this most recent promotion.
