Tube City IMS Announces Promotions

Tube City IMS, LLC has announced several promotions, including the advancement of Chris Ochoa to the position of District Manager, Southeast Region USA, Tube City Division, Tube City IMS; Carey Sullivan to the position of Southern Agency Manager, Tube City Division, Tube City IMS; and Jordan Strauss to the position of District Manager, Texas Region, Tube City Division, Tube City IMS. The company also announced that Steve Helbig has joined the company as Senior Manager of Technical Services in the IT Department.
 
In his new position, Chris Ochoa will be responsible for business development and expansion of the company's Outsourced Purchasing Division. Ochoa, who has more than 16 years of experience in the scrap industry, joined the company in 1995 as an Account Executive, and has also served in the United States Army for five years.
 
In his new position, Carey Sullivan will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of the company's accounts in Fairfield, Ala. Sullivan, who has more than 15 years of experience in the scrap industry, joined the company in 1998 as an Account Executive. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.
 
Both Ochoa and Sullivan will be based at the company’s Fairfield, Ala., office.
 
In his new position, Jordan Strauss will be responsible for expanding the company's presence in the Southwest as the company opens its first outsource trading office in Dallas. Strauss, who will be based in Dallas, joined the company in 2003 as an Account Executive. He attended the University of Kansas with a concentration in communication studies.
 
Prior to joining the company as Senior Manager of Technical Services, Steve Helbig worked at Dick Corp. in Pittsburgh for eight years as a Technical Services Lead Manager. He will be based at Corporate Headquarters in Glassport, Pa. Helbig, who has more than 15 years of IT experience, has taken professional IT development courses at the University of Pittsburgh, Texas Tech University, and California University of Pennsylvania. He is a
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
