ThyssenKrupp CSA Recognized for Safety Practices

ThyssenKrupp CSA Siderúrgica do Atlântico has received a diploma from the Brazilian Association for the Prevention of Accidents (ABPA - Associação Brasileira para Prevenção de Acidentes) in recognition of its work involving issues of health, safety, and environment during the construction of its steel mill complex between 2007 and 2010.

“The award of this diploma is proof that it is possible to pursue development in Brazil whilst ensuring safety in the workplace,” said ABPA’s President, César Ourique da Silva Almeida.

Carlos Roberto Coutinho de Souza, the Director of ABPA, awarded the diploma to the safety coordinator of the construction project of CSA’s steel mill complex, Patrícia Aragão.

“Health and safety are issues of fundamental importance to us and we seek to promote the adoption, by our workforce, of simple, but common procedures in the day-to-day pursuit of our activities," Aragão said.
