Tenova Core to Supply Bar Furnaces for Outokumpu Stainless in Richburg
05/30/2012 - Outokumpu Stainless has contracted Tenova Core to provide two tip-up type heat treating furnaces for processing stainless bar products at the company’s facility in Richburg, S.C.
Outokumpu Stainless, Inc. has contracted Tenova Core to provide two tip-up type heat treating furnaces for processing high quality stainless bar products at the company’s facility in Richburg, S.C.
The energy efficient tip-up furnaces will feature a state-of-the-art combustion system that provides superior temperature uniformity throughout the product.
In addition to the furnaces, Tenova Core also will design and supply a water quench as well as a gantry charging crane and product cooling tables. Tenova Core scope of supply also includes the design and supply of an advanced process control system.
Start-up for the new furnaces and related equipment is scheduled for the second quarter of 2013.
