AIST St. Louis Member Chapter
Scholarship Application

To qualify for these scholarships:

  • You must be the child of an AIST Member currently active in the AIST St. Louis Member Chapter, or be an AIST Student Member through the Material Advantage Student Program who attends a university or lives within the St. Louis Member Chapter area.

  • You must be enrolled full-time or part-time in engineering at an accredited North American university.

  • You must be a high school senior or university undergraduate student.

  • Must have a minimum university GPA of 2.5.

To complete this application you must submit:

  • A current resume with work experience and any extracurricular activities, noting any leadership positions, other honors and scholarships received.

  • A 1-2 page essay on your purpose for continuing education, recent experience and how it effects your future plans, your greatest accomplishments and the satisfaction they provide, reason you should be selected to receive this scholarship.

  • A copy of your university transcript. (High school students should provide their high school transcript)

  • One recommendation letter is required from a counselor, teacher or professor.

  • The name, company and AIST Member number of your parent or your AIST Student Member Number.

Resume should include all work history with any links to the steel industry, leadership positions, and extracurricular activities, and other honors and scholarships received.
