AIST Northern Member Chapter
Scholarship Application

Deadline is 30 June

To qualify for these scholarships:

  • You must have an AIST Parent Member active in the AIST Norther Member Chapter, or be an AIST Student Member through the Material Advantage Student Program, who lives in, or attends a university within the Northern Member Chapter area.

  • You must be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a university and/or college for the fall semester at an accredited Canadian College or University, in an engineering, technician, or technologist program, full-time as an undergraduate student.

To complete this application you must provide:

  • A current resume with work experience and any extracurricular activities, noting any leadership positions.

  • A brief essay (1 to 2 pages) citing professional goals, explaining why you are interested in a career in the steel industry, and how your skills could be applied to the industry.

  • A copy of your university transcript (provide High School transcript if you are a High School Senior).

  • One recommendation letter from a teacher, professor, guidance counselor, or academic advisor.

  • AIST Parent Member Name, Company and AIST Member number, or AIST Student Member number.
