Academic Faculty Engagement Program

Approved by the Board in Oct 2013, the objective of this program is to increase participation by academic faculty at AISTech to connect the steel industry with the research advancements being made at universities.

The AIST Foundation sponsors the following benefits:

• AISTech Academic (Non-Student) Registration Discount (50%)
  University faculty are offered AISTech registration at a discounted rate of 50%. This option is available during the AISTech registration process.

• AISTech University Exhibit Space / Booth Discount (50%)

Universities and trade / technical schools will be offered a 10’ x 10’ booth in or near the AISTech Exhibit Hall to promote their steel-related programs to conference attendees. If the university opts for Package A* offered by our general contractor, Fern Exposition, the Foundation will reimburse the university 50% of the cost.

*Package A inclusions: (2) chairs, (1) 6’ long x 30” high x 24” wide skirted table, (1) 10’x10’ standard carpet, (1) wastebasket

The university or trade / technical school will be responsible for any add-on costs over the baseline booth rate such as a larger booth or any additional furnishing costs over the Booth Package A base rate.
