Stelco’s Lake Erie Steel Achieves ISO/TS16949 Certification

 

Dec. 15, 2006 — Lake Erie Steel, a subsidiary of Stelco Inc., has been awarded ISO/TS 16949:2002 Quality Management System certification for the manufacture of Hot Rolled Steel Coils.

ISO/TS16949 is an international quality management system standard developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in conjunction with the international standards community.

In meeting the ISO/TS16949 standard, Lake Erie Steel has demonstrated its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer requirements, and enhances customer satisfaction through continual improvement of the company’s processes, products and services.
