Steelworkers Ratify Horsehead Labor Agreement at Monaca

The United Steelworkers local 8183 has voted to accept a new labor contract with Horsehead Corp. at the company’s Monaca, Pa. facility.
The new four-year agreement was ratified by the members of local 8183 on Friday, Nov. 16.
The existing agreement was set to expire at midnight tomorrow.
Horsehead Holding Corp. is the parent company of Horsehead Corp., a leading U.S. producer of specialty zinc and zinc-based products and among the world's largest recyclers of electric arc furnace (EAF) dust and other zinc-bearing materials. Horsehead, headquartered in Monaca, Pa., employs over 1000 people and has six operating locations throughout the U.S.
