Steelworkers Begin Considering U. S. Steel Contract
10/30/2018 - The United Steelworkers union has mailed ballots to its U. S. Steel members who are deciding whether to ratify the union’s tentative labor agreement with the integrated steelmaker, reports The Times newspaper of northwest Indiana.
According to the newspaper, the agreement provides for pay increases in each year of the four-year deal and a US$4,000 signing bonus.
The union and company announced the tentative agreement in mid-October.
