08/17/2012 - Steel Dynamics Roanoke Bar Division is raising the price of reinforcing bar $30.00 per ton or $1.50/cwt effective with shipments 1 September 2012.
Steel Dynamics Roanoke Bar Division is raising the price of reinforcing bar $30.00 per ton or $1.50/cwt effective with shipments 1 September 2012. This increase is in addition to the $20.00 per ton increase announced on 30 July 2012.
It is raising the price of all other products $50.00 per ton or $2.50/cwt effective with shipments 1 September 2012.
Steel Dynamics Roanoke Bar Division says it reserves the right to be competitive in the marketplace where necessary.
The Steel Dynamics Roanoke Bar Division operates a state-of-the-art steel mini-mill in Roanoke, Va. This facility melts scrap steel in electric furnaces and continuously casts the molten steel into billets. These billets are rolled into merchant steel products consisting of angles, plain rounds, flats, and channels. Excess steel-billet production is sold to mills without melting facilities. The Steel Dynamics Roanoke Bar Division markets its products to steel service centers, fabricators, and original-equipment manufacturers.
