Steel Dynamics Appoints Corporate and Divisional Sales Managers

March 10, 2006 — Steel Dynamics, Inc. announced the appointment of Christopher J. Stock to the position of National Account Sales Manager.
In his newly created position, Mr. Stock will manage clients that centrally purchase products from any Steel Dynamics division for multiple manufacturing or distribution locations across North America. He will also assume sales and marketing responsibility for customers that purchase products from multiple Steel Dynamics divisions. Mr. Stock will report to John Nolan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and will be located at the company's offices in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Steel Dynamics also announced that William T. "Tommy" Scruggs would succeed Mr. Stock as Manager of Sales for the Flat Rolled Division in Butler, Ind.
"These changes recognize the exciting growth of SDI in the flat rolled marketplace, the broadening scope of our portfolio of products, and the growing importance of multi-divisional buyers of our products," said Mark Millett, Vice President and General Manager of the Flat Roll Division. "The addition of a National Account Sales Manager will further enhance our capabilities to provide the excellent service and support that our customers have come to expect."
Christopher Stock has served as Manager of Sales for Steel Dynamics' Flat Rolled Division since 1998, effectively driving significant revenue growth as the division diversified its product mix and expanded into new market segments.
Tommy Scruggs has been instrumental in the development as well as the commercial success of Steel Dynamics’ broad line of painted products manufactured today by the Butler Flat Rolled Division. Mr. Scruggs has fifteen years of prior sales experience in value-added steel products, and holds a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.
