Shale-Inland Names Main Steel CEO, Forms Executive Team

Shale-Inland has named Keith Medick as Chief Executive Officer of the recently purchased Main Steel Polishing Company.

Main Steel Polishing is one of the largest processors of stainless steel in the United States with facilities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, and California. The company also processes aluminum, titanium, nickel-based alloys, and red metals.

Most recently, Medick was the President of Gary, Ind.-based Metal Processing Corp. Prior to that, he was a 23-year Executive of Ryerson where he held management positions across operations, sales, purchasing, and marketing. Medick headed the integration of Ryerson's acquisitions of Washington Specialty Metals as well as Integris.
 
In addition to Medick’s appointment, the company has also named George Bogan as President of Main Steel Polishing. Tom Mallan Jr. has accepted the position of Vice President and General Manager of the North East Region. Michael Folley becomes Vice President and General Manager of the West Region and Mark McCool becomes Vice President and General Manager of the Mid-West Region.
 
In addition, Robert McGowan has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer of Shale-Inland, and Jody Pitts has accepted the position of Vice President Marketing of Shale-Inland and General Manager of the Main Steel Tape businesses.
 
Medick also joins Alan Blankshain, CEO of Shale-Inland Stamping and Fabricating, as an Executive Vice President of Shale-Inland.
