SDI Cuts Ribbon on Sinton Facility
02/14/2022 - In a ceremony last week, company executives, local officials and Texas Governor Greg Abbott cut the ribbon on Steel Dynamics’ 1.2-million-square-foot facility in Sinton, Texas, USA.
"With the Texas economy booming more than ever before, the need for steel is growing in the Lone Star State," Abbott said.
According to reports, the 3-million-ton plant will create more than 590 new jobs.
The facility produced its first coil through its 84-inch mill earlier this month, according to a LinkedIn post.
