Report: Plant Fire Appears To Be Accidental
08/25/2015 - A large fire that broke out at an idled Japanese mill on 24 August may have been caused by workers who were using gas burners to dismantle the facility, reports Singapore’s The Straits Times newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the fire at the mill, which belongs to a unit of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp., took a few hours to extinguish. No injuries were reported.
