Reliance Acquires Dynamic Metals International

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has acquired Dynamic Metals International, LLC, a Bristol, Conn., based specialty metal distributor.
 
Founded in 1999, the company supplies a broad range of specialty metals including Maraging (Vascomax®) steel, 300M, and 4340 Mod alloys, as well as alloy and stainless steels, and titanium, nickel and aluminum alloys. The company reported revenues of approximately $11 million in 2007.
 
“This strategic acquisition expands our existing Service Steel Aerospace specialty product offerings,” said David H. Hannah, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
 
Dynamic will now operate as a subsidiary of Service Steel Aerospace Corp., which is headquartered in Tacoma, Wash.
 
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Calif., Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. is one of the largest metals service center companies in the United States. Through a network of more than 180 locations in 37 states and Belgium, Canada, China, South Korea and the U.K., the company provides value-added metals processing services and distributes a full line of over 100,000 metal products.
