RAD-CON Appoints New Director of Marketing and Sales
02/14/2013 - Cleveland, Ohio-based RAD-CON, Inc., a leader in hydrogen bell furnaces for strip and wire coils, announced that Wynn H. Kearns as joined the company as director of marketing and sales.
Cleveland, Ohio-based RAD-CON, Inc., a leader in hydrogen bell furnaces for strip and wire coils, announced that Wynn H. Kearns as joined the company as director of marketing and sales. Based in the company’s Cleveland office, he will lead ferrous and non-ferrous H2SHC™ bell anneal furnace projects along with supporting the market demand for CAPS™ optimization software which already is applied to more than 60% of strip annealed by bell furnaces of all types in the U.S. Kearns, with more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing processes and global capital equipment sales, is an expert in protective atmosphere systems for metals. He will apply these skills to promote new markets for Energy Resource Control (ERC), a RAD-CON Group Company. ERC supplies an innovative natural gas energy system to supply industrial nitrogen and hydrogen at a fraction of the cost of traditional industrial bottled gas.
“We recognize the potential growth in thermal treatment markets in NAFTA, based on historical lows in natural gas energy prices” said Mr. Chris Messina, RAD-CON president. “Wynn’s extensive industrial manufacturing experience, coupled with his market experience will take our bell anneal product to a new level, along with growing our fuel based nitrogen system”.
Prior to joining RAD-CON, Kearns was responsible for NAFTA business development for CMI EFCO in Salem, Ohio. During more than eight years at CMI, Kearns was responsible for multiple projects in Mexico, Canada, and the U.S., along with export markets in Brazil, China, Russia, Korea and India. Prior to entering sales, Kearns was operations superintendent for ArcelorMittal Tubular (Copperweld) in Shelby, Ohio, a major manufacturer of welded and seamless steel precision tubing.
Kearns holds a B.A. Degree from Miami University, an M.S. degree from Southern Illinois University, and an M.B.A from Ashland University.
RAD-CON, Inc., founded in 1966, provides equipment, consulting, and process automation for batch annealing. The company supplies capital equipment and software, along with related services, to manufacturers in need of a high-quality batch annealing process that is part of their manufacturing of cold-reduced strip and wire metal coils.
