Nucor Team Earns Investment Community Recognition

Feb. 24, 2006 — Nucor Corp. announced that Institutional Investor magazine has named Nucor in its inaugural list of "America's Most Shareholder Friendly Companies."

The Institutional Investor rankings are determined by the magazine's polling of investment portfolio managers and brokerage firm research analysts.

Nucor's management team was also recognized as number one in the Metals & Mining industry in the magazine’s annual list of "America's Best CEO's," which was published in the January 2006 issue. This represents the second consecutive year that Nucor's management team has received this honor.

Nucor Vice Chairman, President and CEO, Dan DiMicco commented, "These top rankings in the Institutional Investor polls are an honor for every member of the Nucor Team. The 11,300 men and women of Nucor are working hard — and, as always, working together — to implement our strategic plan for driving long-term growth in Nucor's earnings power and raising returns on our shareholders' valuable capital. Most importantly, we are very confident that Nucor's best years are still ahead of us."

Nucor’s ranking appears in the February 2006 issue of Institutional Investor and is available online at the magazine's website.
