Northwest Indiana Steel Fabrication Company Acquires Imperial Steel Tank
08/27/2013 - Refax, Inc., a leading steel fabricator in northwest Indiana for more than three decades, announced its acquisition of Imperial Steel Tank Co. Imperial Steel Tank (IST) fabricates pressure vessels, storage tanks, reactors, heat exchangers and other weldments.
“This acquisition allows us to provide additional capabilities to our existing customers, and in turn, further strengthens our business, allowing us to reach an added customer-base,” said Richard Oliver Sr., president of Refax, Inc.
IST production will move to one of the two Indiana Refax facilities. Oliver believes the positioning of Refax, near major highways, waterways and rail will provide efficient transportation options for current IST customers.
“This puts us in the right direction with our business plan for the next thirty years,” said Oliver.
