Mitsubishi-Hitachi Receives Order for Large-Scale Hot Rolling Equipment for Vietnam
11/06/2012 - Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc., recently received a large-scale order from Nan Ya Plastics Corp., a core company of the Formosa Plastics Group, for hot rolling equipment with an annual production capacity of 5.3 million tons in Vietnam.
Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc., recently received a large-scale order from Nan Ya Plastics Corp., a core company of the Formosa Plastics Group, for hot rolling equipment with an annual production capacity of 5.3 million tons in Vietnam.
The equipment will be built in the Vung Ang Economic Zone in Ha Tinh Province in the north central part of Vietnam.
This is the first project to construct a large-scale integrated steel plant in Vietnam, where rapid development is expected in the future. Operation is scheduled to start in the first half of FY2015. This project will also be the first time Mitsubishi-Hitachi delivers hot rolling equipment to Vietnam.
Mitsubishi-Hitachi will be supplying equipment and providing services ranging from a complete set of machinery and equipment ,supervisors for installation and training, including two roughing mill stands, a sizing press, seven finishing mill stands, and down coiler equipment.
