Kezhou Ganxin to Build High-Strength Steel Production Line

Xinjiang region-based Chinese steelmaker Kezhou Ganxin Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., announced it will start construction of its sintering machine project for a high-strength steel production line with an annual capacity of one million tonnes.

According to the company, this high-strength steel production line in Artux, Xinjiang, includes a raw material yard, sinter, blast furnace, converter, continuous billet caster, bar rolling production line and supplementary facilities. The project is expected to have an annual production capacity of 1.12 million tonnes of pig iron, 1.03 million tonnes of crude steel and 0.96 million tonnes of finished steel once it is officially commissioned in late July 2013.

The 180 m3 sintering machine with an annual production capacity of 1.8 million tonnes will be constructed by Zhongye Changtian International Engineering Co., a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group Corp.
