It Took Three Years to Build Bethlehem Steel's Headquarters. It Was Demolished in Seconds.
05/20/2019 - Demolition crews brought down Bethlehem Steel’s iconic headquarters building on Sunday morning, leveling another vestige of the once dominant company.
Crews used nearly 500 pounds of explosives to implode the 21-story building, which was felled in seconds.
"It's the end of an era, and I'm going to miss seeing it there," Mike Gentilcore, a former Bethlehem Steel researcher, told the Associated Press.
