Parsytec AG recently received an order from Ilva for a surface inspection solution for the company’s coupled pickling-tandem line in Novi Ligure, Italy.

Parsytec will install its inspection system at Ilva’s coupled pickling-tandem line. Parsytec’s solution will help Ilva avoid strip breaks at the tandem mill caused by surface visible material faults from former processing steps. The system will thus help to reduce machine down times, subsequent roll shop costs and material loss.

Ilva, which is part of the Riva Group, currently employs five Parsytec systems at various production steps, from the hot mill to pickling and continuous annealing.
